Anchor-Richey EVS (Emergency Vehicles Services), Inc. is a small to medium Emergency Fire & Rescue Apparatus builder in the Carolinas. In addition to new vehicle construction, Anchor-Richey EVS maintains state-of-the-art repair facilities for many types of Fire & Rescue Apparatus. We believe in leading the way in quality, innovation and customer service.

Our business is located near Hickory, North Carolina and has been in operation at this location over 25 years.  Our 22,000 square foot facility houses the offices, showroom and parts department, as well as the service, repair, fabrication (of new & repair apparatus builds), body repair, paint, and detail shops. This means that almost any Emergency, Fire and Rescue build can be handled from start-to-finsh under one roof.  Our team here at Anchor-Richey EVS works together to ensure that each job is completed with quality parts, materials and top workmanship.

Emergency Vehicle Repair and Refurbishment Services

In addition to new Emergency Vehicle Customization and Manufacturing, Anchor-Richey EVS facilities and our staff of 20 individuals are equipped and skilled in repairing damage of all types, ranging from minor “fender-benders” to roll-overs with extreme rescue damage.  We are an approved repair facility for the major insurance companies in the fire industry along with other insurance providers.  Our unique experience and industry knowledge ensure that you will receive exactly what you deserve: innovative ideas, unbeatable service, and expert workmanship unmatched in the Fire and Rescue industry today.

Our  Emergency Vehicle Refurbishment Services can include installation of lighting, generators, hose/cord reels, door replacement, tank repair/replacement, body redesign, and of course, body refinishing including gold-leaf striping and lettering. Our owners Bill McCormic and Matthew Richey work in and manage the shop on a daily basis.  Together, they have more than 50 years of experience in truck maintenance, repair, design, and constructions.
